A Mirage 2000-5 from French Fighter Squadron 1/2 Storks refuels with a KC-135 from 168th Air Refuelling Squadron (ANG-USAF, Eielson AFB, Alaska) during the air strikes against Libya.
The 2000-5 was doing air superiority business and enforcing a no-fly zone above the country, 24 hours a day.

Somewhere above the Mediterranean Sea, 2011.

Well I see KC-135s all the time. I live near Fairchild AFB so I see a lot.

Thanks for the beautiful images of flight, make me proud to have been a airman in the USAF. I was a comm/nav tech on KC-135A/KC-10A/B-52D/C-130E all aircraft that did not take to have their pictures very good, camea shy I think, but your photos help me remember how beautifu they are and were in time a duty. Stay safe and keep your nose in the sky.
